The food discovery journal with my precious Little Ones, Captain E and Baby C. It doesn't take a genius to cook up a storm, all you need is a lot of tender loving care, with a dash of patience. Childhood only comes once, so let's make it a great one for our Little Ones.

Super Fast Snack: Cheesy French Toast 乳酪法国吐司
This a simple snack that can be ready in no time and Cheddar cheese provides extra calcium for the growing bones, so do give it a try today.
Preparation Time: 3 min
Cooking Time: 5 min
Serving for: 2 little ones
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 tablespoon fresh milk
1 teaspoon olive oil (or butter if you like t creamier)
4 slices of sandwich bread / whole meal bread
2 slices of cheddar cheese
Step-by-Step Guides:
1. Beat the eggs lightly and add the milk in a bowl / shallow dish.
2. Soak a slice of the bread into the egg mixture. In the meanwhile, heat the wok with the olive oil and spread out evenly to coat the entire pan. Using a fork, carefully place the bread onto the pan.
3. Fry both side on medium heat for about 30 seconds each side. Set a side and repeat same step for all remaining bread.
4. Add a slice of cheddar cheese between 2 toast, return the toast onto the pan and heat for another 30 seconds. The heat will help the cheese to melt in between the toast.
Done, it's that simple! Sprinkle with some sugar or add a drop of mixed fruits jam if you like, however I prefer mine as is.
Serve the cheesy french toast when hot. The melted cheese with the milky French toast smell and taste so nice that no kiddo can resist. ;)
I cut the toast into smaller chunk and offered to my 17 months old baby, she was happily eating and saying, "hmm, nice!". She obviously love cheese. My elder boy happily finished the entire toast all by himself accompanied with a cup of fresh juice, looking so satisfied and gave me a thumbs up. A simple snack yet so satisfying. :)
A Note on Selecting Cheddar Cheese...
There are many slice cheddar cheese in the market, go for the one with lower sodium (try to get below 900mg per slice) and higher calcium or protein content.
